Kristine Barnes is a dedicated and hardworking Rondout staff member who runs the School to Work Program and TIP (Therapeutic Intervention Program).
Kristine recently wrote a grant to RVEF to provide TIP students a 12 session course with Cori Nichols at Hudson Valley Horseplay.
In Horseplay a professional mental health counselor and equine specialist use on-the-ground activities with horses to build social and emotional skills, and support personal and professional growth. Through the interaction and feedback from horses, participants recognize their beliefs and behaviors and how they influence others. Students then have the chance to experiment with and practice new ways of reaction and interaction.
Students seen in the photos below are Anya Slatter, Destiny Beilman, Dorion DuBois and Riley Cesark.
RVEF wishes everyone in the program success.
